Familiar Ground
Familiar Ground is a series of 3 online workshops for women and men, exploring how our earliest relationships shaped the way we love and how that awareness becomes the foundation for change in our relationships today.
For women and men
· Three Saturdays
· Small groups
· Therapist-led
· Safe and Supportive
Do you find yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships over and over again?
Perhaps you fear abandonment, struggle to trust, keep people at a distance, or lose yourself in love. Perhaps you give far more than you receive — or find it difficult to ask for what you need. Perhaps you have tried to change, and the same story keeps unfolding.
These patterns begin much earlier than we realise, taking root in our very first relationships with our parents or caregivers. From there, they quietly guide how we relate to others long into adulthood.

Navigate your patterns.
Understand why they have been there.
Find freedom to let go of what no longer serves you.
THE WORKSHOP SERIES
Three Saturdays. Women and men working together — and separately — in a journey from insight to change.
WORKSHOP 1— The Mother Relationship
FOR WOMEN with Ana Ochoa de Eribe
FOR MEN with Amit Vyas
Women and men work in separate groups with their own therapist, exploring the relationship with their mother or mother figure.
This first relationship shapes our sense of love, safety, emotional needs, self-worth, and our deepest beliefs about whether we are worthy of being loved.
WORKSHOP 2— The Father Relationship
FOR WOMEN with Ana Ochoa de Eribe
FOR MEN with Amit Vyas
Women and men again work in separate groups, exploring the relationship with their father or father figure.
This relationship continues to shape our expectations of ourselves, our sense of security, and the kind of love we seek or avoid.
WORKSHOP 3 — From Understanding to Change
WOMEN AND MEN TOGETHER. led by Ana Ochoa de Eribe and Amit Vyas
This is where the work comes together.
Having explored the most formative relationships of their lives, women and men now meet in one shared workshop, held by both therapists.
Like a seed growing, insight into our present-day relationships begins to surface on its own, from this deeper understanding.
Women hear from men, and men from women, what it was like to delve into their own journey — and now, each side's inner journey is witnessed together.
This is where three Saturdays of separate group work becomes something shared.
Participants leave with greater self-awareness, greater compassion — for themselves and for others — and a growing capacity for building relationships that are more secure, more honest, and more deeply connected.
WHAT YOU WILL GAIN
• A deeper understanding of your relationship patterns and where they come from
• Insight into how your earliest relationships continue to shape your adult life
• Greater self-awareness and self-compassion
• The ability to recognise and interrupt unhelpful patterns before they take hold
• Healthier boundaries and a stronger sense of what you need
• Practical tools for building more secure, authentic relationships
• The confidence to relate to others as the adult you are — not the child you were
These workshops are for anyone who wants to understand themselves better in the context of relationships — whether you are single or in a relationship, whether you are just beginning to explore these questions or have been living with them for years.
You do not need any previous experience of therapy or personal development. You only need to be curious, and willing to look honestly at yourself.

Hello, I am Ana Ochoa de Eribe, a psychotherapist since 2001.
I am passionate about helping men and women build healthier, more secure relationships by healing old relational wounds and moving from unconscious patterns into intentional, respectful, values-led connection in everyday life.
I work with individuals, couples, and groups, both in person and online.
My name is Amit Vyas, I am a psychotherapist and I treat individuals in my private practice by helping them to see themselves through the lens of their early experiences and relationships, and how these have shaped ones personality and mindset. I have helped patients to create lasting change through insight and awareness of old patterns and unmet needs, which allows them to 'change the script' in the present.
I am passionate about giving men the opportunity to take up the ability to heal and grow in a space that values the masculine spirit.
If this speaks to you, we would love to welcome you.
Places are limited . The early bird price of £350 is available until 5th September 2026. Standard price is £420.
Understanding where you began doesn't just make sense of your patterns — it opens the door to changing them.
Places are kept small so that every participant has the space they need. If this work speaks to you, we would love to have you with us.
